Tea Storage Guide
Keep Every Cup Fresh and Flavourful
A little care goes a long way. Store your tea well to help preserve its flavour, fragrance, and character.
Keep It Airtight
Close pouches securely after every use. If you transfer tea to another container, choose a clean, dry, airtight tin or jar.
Protect It from Light and Heat
Keep tea in a cool, dark cupboard, away from direct sunlight, stovetops, ovens, and other heat sources. Store clear jars inside a cupboard.
Keep Moisture Out
Always use a clean, dry spoon. Avoid opening your tea above a steaming kettle, and keep everyday tea supplies out of the fridge or freezer, where condensation can introduce moisture.
Keep Strong Scents Away
Tea can absorb surrounding odours. Store it away from spices, coffee, cleaning products, and other strongly scented items.
Give Matcha Extra Care
Keep matcha tightly sealed and protected from heat, light, and moisture. Follow any storage instructions on its packaging, especially after opening.
Follow the Package
Check the best-before date and any blend-specific instructions. Keep the original label if you transfer your tea to a tin, and use older purchases first.
Seal it. Store it. Savour it.
